Merry Christmas everyone! I have been looking at-and getting very attached to-a ferret at Earl May for about 3 1/2 months. She's about 8 months old and I named her Gypsy. I went in at least twice a week to see her, and I offered them $100 for her (priced at $149 on sale) and they said they can't go below $125. I coulnd't afford to buy her until tomorrow, and I went there Tuesday. A man (I think a manager) said a woman was looking at her the night before. I said I was planning on buying her but I didn't get paid until the 24th. He said he'd rather see her go to me and wrote out a "sold" tag with my name, sold for $125, and that I'd pick her up on Christmas Eve. I was so excited! I went there today and there she was, for $159, for sale again! I asked the saleswoman what was going on. She said there was a woman there last night who was going to buy her but she couldn't because Gypsy was sold to me. So today they're trying to sell her! I was beyond mad, I was furious. But IF Gypsy is still there tomorrow, I can buy her for $150. How nice of them. The man I spoke to wasn't there today. Is there anything I can do if they sell her to someone else? I cried when I got home, I'm so upset. Anyway, I hope all of you and your fuzzies are doing well and have a great holiday. Ferret hugs to all! -Lisa Spook, Buffy, Angel, Frosty, Nibbles [Posted in FML issue 3641]
