While we have never forgot the waterbottle, we have had bottle problems. One night I let Ashley out, gave everyone their water and went to bed. The next morning I put her up got the others out and left for work. I worked early mornings and didn't notice anything unusual. When I got home from work (1pm) I went in to see the kids and realized that Ashley had NO water! I felt so sick, I'm sure it was empty when I put her up in the morning, but I didn't realize it. It had leaked all into the bottom of the cage which was carpeted and went down into the pan. I immediately got her water, woke her up and tried to get her to drink, but she wasn't worried. After that I always check the bottles to be sure they have water before I leave the house. The next time she went without water it was because I had pulled her out of the top of the cage to let her out to play and went to bed. When I got up to put her away I realized that I had never opened her cage door and she was without food and water all night. I freaked out, but again she wasn't worried. Both of these incidents happened months ago, and she's fine! We've also had a problem with one bottle that will jam up and has to be bounced around to get water to come out. Luckily the bottle came with two girls who have always had that bottle. When it does jam up Che Che will start ramming it and pawing at it until it works again. I always make sure it's working when I refill it but it still jams at times. While it kills us to know we were so careless the ferrets seem to take it in stride so I wouldn't worry. Happy Holidays to all and lots of fun with the wrapping paper Tysa, Dana, The Havoc Wreaking Weasies and the rest of the fuzzy family Ferrets: Frosty, Stoney, Holley, Halley, Harley, Dudley, Ashley Lynn, Che Che and Spud. Hemi the cat, Gatsby, Daisy, Dixie, Nimby, and Squeaky the spiny mice, and Thorny the hedgehog. [Posted in FML issue 3635]
