Condolences to those with lost, sick, or angeled crinkle-sack critters... According to the Denver Post (Friday, November 16th edition), a total of 31 Black-Feeted FurryBunches were released into the wild. About 18 seconds later, they all ran back into the cage, with their spokesfert being heard stating "Dang it's cold out there!" One of the other ferts was quoted as saying "I want my sleep sack!" Finally, in a statement taken from a fert on condition of anonymity, "They promised us lots of good food and all the dryer tubes we could possibly play in! Where's the beef?", after which they spotted, tackled and ate a holstein. All that cholesterol. How sad. When I mentioned the "captive breeding" program for the BFF's to my ferret, Fuzzer, he stood up on his back feet, looked me squarely in the eye and said "Let My Brothers Go!" Since I didn't have them, I couldn't comply...and besides, I think he mean 'cousins', rather than brothers. Of course, he *might* have brothers in captivity, but I don't know where they are...and besides, I don't think his cousins were really complaining about being able to breed any time they wanted! The only other thing he had to say was "Mine!" as he ran off after Hershey, who had just completed a daring "Snatch and Grab!" of Fuzzer's snack. On a side note, Fuzzer got his snack back! Anywayz, I wanna give congrats and a hearty well-done to those ferts that participated in the program and I want to wish them lots of good luck on their future. I also want to issue a warning to the local prairie dog population. "Start praying...and watch yer back. There's a new gang in the neighborhood!" Todd and the (Where do I sign up for those programs?) Fuzzbutt Rodeo Clowns! --- mailto:[log in to unmask] http://www.netconex.com/toddl/page2/ [Posted in FML issue 3605]
