I dont think it would be >good, but maybe someone else knows better. Ferrets are carnivores - carnivores eat meat. In order of preference my ferrets like lamb best followed by rabbit and beef. They aren't too taken with chicken and turkey. All meat is fed raw - some of my ferrets eat it others just ignore it. >What do you all feed as treats that are sensible? How about some garlic sausage? My lot love it. A friend who had a very sick ferret discovered that the only food he would accept was garlic sausage. My gang got a whole rabbit yesterday... oh dear you said sensible :-) To get back to the whole rabbit though - it was a wild rabbit that had been shot during the course of pest control. The rabbit in the UK is an agricultural pest and causes millions of pounds worth of damage a year. Having said that most folk just want the rabbit controlled and not exterminated. My ferret occasionally get pigeons as well - I'm not too keen on giving them pigeon though, the feathers make a right mess. -- Sheila Bolton Ferret Welfare & N.F.W.S. News Editor. NFWS.
