After a long absence from the list, I have resubscribed (finally!). I too remember stories about the lives of BIG, Rosie and Maxie, Missouri Bob, Tater and Odie, and MeeMaw and PawPaw. One story about a baby ferret that climbed Gods robes and spoke to Him comes to mind. I think it was a Christmas story. Anyway, after all this time, I am very happy to be a part of the FML once again. This past spring, I lost my oldest fert, Rocky (he was one of the best--truly). He joined his cagemates Ever and Flower (my first)across the Bridge. Rocky was 9 years old. I grieved long and hard. Then in late August I began to feel ready to experience ferret-love again. On Sunday, Oct. 28th, I adopted Brutus from the GCFA (thank you thank you thank you). His picture remains on their site (www.gcfa.com)I love him very much already!! What a great guy! I completely identify with the poster who felt lucky to be owned by a ferret. I'm grateful to have been allowed the opportunity! Looking forward to your stories, advice, and friendship! dawn o. and brutus [Posted in FML issue 3588]
