Chronic disease of any type, including adrenal disease, may cause low- grade anemia, which is most often non-regenerative. Slightly elevated lymphocytes values are commonly seen in middle-aged to older ferrets chronically infected with Helicobacter, or with a history of ECE infection. These two common inflammatory disorders may also cause mild anemia or chronic disease. With kindest regards, Bruce Williams DVM [Posted in FML issue 3575]
