I was fascinated to find the following quote in a book about the Battle
of Jutland (a naval battle fought in the North Sea during World War 1)
 
"And splinters came aboard Agincourt [a British Battleship] and broke
open a hutch in which Lieutenants Cunninghame-Graham and Egerton kept
five white ferrets."
