Every year about this time, and other times in between, our shelter
becomes a mouse resort. Although we keep all food in tight metal
containers, and we clean daily, every mouse in the county knows that we
have open food bowls and a warm place to spend the winter. I have even
seen a mouse drinking from a water bottle while the resident ferret slept
close by. We have two delighted cats who are good mousers but they can
only catch so many. We would like a humane way to deal with these
"guests", including in areas that are not accessible to the ferrets.
Suggestions?
