Just wanted to let everyone know that we have added a new fert to our ferret family. Although no ferret could ever replace our Tazy who crossed the bridge 2 months ago, I couldn't help but open my heart and my home to this poor little guy. Apparently someone had left him outside the Kitchener Humane Society in a cage with a note that said to give him a good home. Our SPCA rarely gets ferrets, and I only call once in a while. Anyways this fella was in the back in isolation as he was just dropped off the day before. He is a beautiful panda with a full coat and dark piercing eyes. He has a white head and bib, looks like he is wearing a hood. He looks like a ghost with those eyes and white head. I think its kind of spooky the way he ended up with me and I have always wanted a panda ferret, hence the name Spook. Took him to the vet yesterday for the once over and shots, (no health history) and the vet said he was at the humane society yesterday and someone had dropped off a ferret in a cage with a note. Well, obviously it was the same ferret!!! Too spooky!!! Anyways, clean bill of health, the vet figured he is about 10 months, just a baby. Gets along great with Kiwi but Max is a little territorial, might need some work there. Spook has a very gentle nature, easy going, playful, very sweet, he fell asleep on the sofa last night beside Mike watching TV. He seems very comfortable here, I am glad. A comment on "selling pets", I do believe in putting a price on pets to "weed out the scum" as they say, but if a person comes along with whom you feel is the right one to adopt your pet, you could always waive the price.
