Lucys' surgery was yesterday in Richmond and was a complete success.
Despite the normal adrenal panel the vet found an enlarged and firm left
adrenal gland. The right was entirely normal! He also looked at the
pancreas and said it was normal size and color and without any palpable
masses. I brought her home last night and already she wants out of the
isolation cage.

In fact........I put the water bottle close to the bedding in the isolation
cage so that when one of the babies is in there, they don't have to move
alot to get to the water if they are feeling poorly. Well, about 3am this
morning I went to give her a little chicken baby food and found the water
bottle empty and the bedding soaked. I figured that the bottle had finally
gone bad, changed the bedding and put a new bottle up in the same location.
Two hours later, I went in and found the bottle empty and the bedding wet!
So I guess it took me awhile to figure out she wanted it moved! Once I
moved it away from the bedding it has been fine, and she is drinking out
of it like a champ. Guess she showed me!

Thanks for all the advice and support (again, remember Tobys' surgery in
June?)
