Yes, "another ferret mom and dad" did offer to help you but so have others. I offered also, but you have never emailed me. I tried to help you on several occasions, but it just looked odd to me that you would not email back since you needed help. Sorry. That is why I wondered all those things about you and needed clarification. I DO NOT think you are stupid. If you still need help in translating, I have some sources and would be happy to help, provided that Kim has given her FULL permission. Glad that you have not given up on the FML, it really is a good source for learning about ferrets. Sorry anyone offended you but everyone here are very passionate about ferrets and ferret health which can sometimes get carried away (at least by me) LOL! I am truly sorry to see Kim's shelter close but understand. She has done so much for ferrets and it is too bad but hey, she has been completely selfless for long enough, she needs to do what is right for her. Good luck with everything Kim! You had mentioned this a few months back to me, so I know that you were having an extremely difficult time making this decision and I hope that everyone respects you for it. I do! I cannot speak ferret but if I could speak for ferrets, I bet they would say "Thank you Kim, we think you are the best". The offer still stands...if you ever get to Seattle and need a ferret fix. To Melissa, the reason I posted on the FML was so that you understand how sorry I am for offending you. No other reason. I also wanted the other FMLers to understand where I was coming from, basically clarification. Email is a poor form of communication at times and I am just as guilty of the next person for "reading between the lines". Sometimes my writing sounds more extreme than what I am actually trying to project. Thank you for being civil and I am glad you like or read some of my posts. I am the first to admit that sometimes I get carried away and it is not for ill intention, it just happens. I am so passionate about ferrets, that I sometimes forget that hoomans are involved. I probably should have just kept my mouth shut on the whole Matan issue, that would have been best, but the subject matter was really upsetting. As far as my concern over people with lots of computer savvy, I don't feel that way about all of them. I have friends who are developers (two at Microsoft), a Network Admin at Boeing and a consultant. My brother is an Internet securities specialist (firewalls, etc...) so I know there are those who have tons of computer knowledge that don't use their knowledge to abuse others. I also know that since I joined this forum, I have experienced the bad side of this equation and there are some on this list who have used their knowledge of computers to attack others. Thank you for understanding this and no offense intended, if you thought I was inferring to all computer knowledgeable people. Occasionally, I wish I had gone into this field because some of it is very interesting to me (especially the investigative side of computer crimes), but I really like marketing and maybe sometime down the road I will consider adding a computer sciences degree to my education. To BIG: I think you have done an exceptional job over this whole Matan thing. To Sukie: I hope you feel better! Take care all! [Posted in FML issue 3456]
