For a change of pace I took Cyrano to the nieghbors cornfield out back and tried walking him there. Well...at first he wouldn't walk at all. Then he'd take a few steps and stop, and then I'd pick him up and carry him. So we went around the perimeter of the field like that with him on/off again walking or being carried. How far can the little guys walk??? I know when it's in the house it seems like the skies the limit but how far really before they are tired??? And what is the nature of their walking? Do they always walk you where THEY want to go or can they actually be walked like a dog??? So far with Cyrano he usually walks me wherever except last night I wanted to see his reaction to the field with the dirt, corn stalks, high grass, rocks, etc. :-) Nice walk if he would have walked a bit more or been satisfied being carried without digging and squirming. He didn't like my neighbors barking dogs one bit. Personally I don't blame him I don't like the almost constant barking either. Everytime we're ou tside all they do is bark and for 3 hunting dogs they sure do make a LOT of noise. The only other thing I noticed was that every time he heard a bird he would stand stock still which the trees around the field are filled with all different kinds of birds. :-) So it was a very slow walk. :-) Faith [Posted in FML issue 3405]
