This morning I spoke with a lady in a rough spot. She has a 7 year old ferret, Peytah, with adrenal disease, and he needs to find a new home by the end of this month. Her lease is up then, and the landlord won't let her renew with the ferret. Peytah has been having the typical problems male ferrets with adrenal disease have: recurring urinary tract infections, prostate trouble leading to trouble urinating. Currently things are under control with medication to shrink the prostate, and she *will* help a new owner pay for his medication for the rest of his life. Peytah is very sweet and lost his life-long companion fuzzy a few months ago, so he *has* been with other ferrets before. If anyone can take in this sweet boy and keep him comfortable for the rest of his days, please contact Annissa at 967-1581 or [log in to unmask] Peytah is in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. -Pam S.
