The name of the movie with the two hairy thief ferrets is the Beastmaster,
and the ferrets are Kodo and Podo.  They are actually a boy and a girl,
which you will find out if you watch the sequels.  I think there are three
all told.  And yes, the ferrets in this film are adorable.  And everyone
owned by a ferret knows that the thief part is right on.
