Ok, so it took some sorting out in my tired brain.  I kept going into dr
suess mode as I read your post.
 
If a shelter breeding ferrets, shelters a breed of shelter ferrets, then
the breeder at the shelter shouldn't breed the sheltered ferrets.  If a
breeder shelters ferrets, don't have the sheltered ferrets breeding, don't
increase the population, beyond the ferrets we are needing.
 
Seriously though, very sensible post!  I think the plea that we all get
along, and work together for the sake of the ferts deserves a round of
applause.
