Hello everyone!!! Please excuse me for posting this so late. On Saturday, Feb 24th the Heart of Ohio Ferret Association will be sponsoring a "Ferret Fun Day 2001" to be held from 12n-4pm at the Petco on Sawmill Rd. in Columbus, Ohio. There will be ten specialty rings and many fun matches throughout the afternoon. All proceeds will go to The Heart of Ohio Ferret Association to support our ferret rescue and to defray the cost of printing literature for all the ferret awareness days we do around the area. The specialty rings are: ALBINO,CINNAMON,CHOCOLATE,DARK-EYED WHITE,GREEN CARD,MUTT,SABLE,SHELTER,SILVER,and WALK-IN. The fun matches will include:Fastest tongue in the midwest,Tube race, Cup tip,Paper bag escape, and King and Queen of the show (heaviest male/lightest female). The cost to enter the specialty rings is $5 per entry and the fun matches are $2 per entry. Entry forms are available at the store or by contacting Pam Grant at 614-764-6911. The sponsors for the show are: TOTALLY FERRET,8-in-1, ZUPREEM,NUTRO,CARE PET CLINIC, THE HOBBITRY,DOUBLE DOOKER FERRETRY,SCARLETT'S HAPPY DOOKERS,FIRE STORM FERRETS,PAM's PAMPERED PET SITTING, and DREFFER DESIGNS. There will also be raffle items and many "ferrety" items to purchase. The general public is very welcome to attend and find out why everyone is so crazy about ferrets!!! HOFA will also have a booth at the PET EXPO held on Fri, Sat, and Sun (2/16-2/18) at the State Expo Fair Grounds in Columbus,Ohio. Again ,there will be many items for you and your fuzzies.This is an exhausting, grueling weekend but we get to educate literally thousands of people about the proper care for ferrets and why sometimes they're not a good choice for a pet.
