I've held off answering the Challenge because I'd be repeating what so many others have already said. It would be just one more voice in an already large chorus singing a very positive song. But, one more voice means the music is that much louder, and the louder a song is, the more it's noticed. So... The FML has been and, I think, always will be an incredible source of information on ferrets and their health and habits. Considering how much misinformation and outright lies are out there about these remarkable creatures, the importance of the existence of this storehouse of knowledge cannot be underestimated. I have learned so much. I feel that I've made many friends here, and I'm very particular about labeling someone as a friend. I've even met a couple (Hi, Sam! Hi, Lynda!); one of them was willing to travel 140 miles to help me with a gravely ill fuzzy (Thank you again, Lynda). Most of my friends here I may never meet face-to-face - but that doesn't make the friendships any less valid. And I should note, some of those friends are of the four-legged, fuzzy variety. I've laughed about things I've read here. I've cried. I've rejoiced. I've mourned. I've gotten angry. In short, I've cared. That's because you folks care, and you care a lot. This list has shown me that caring is contagious. I value the FML. I value it so much that, even though I browse the Archives from time to time, I've saved copies of every issue that I've received. I get upset if my e-mail service loses a day's issue, and I don't waste time getting it replaced. Sooner or later I may run out of room on my computer for all this, but I'll deal with it somehow. For me, the FML is a valuable resource for the people who love and care for those fascinating little creatures known as ferrets, and I'm so glad I found it. I intend to stay for the duration.
