They generally don't need to be bathed. Some think that a bath is the only way to keep them from getting that musky smell. Actually bathing causes it to get worse as the body produces more and more oil to replace what you are stripping off. The fresh oil has the musky smell. If you stop bathing them; change their bedding at least once a week; scoop the litter boxes once a day and scrub the boxes once a week; and don't feed them ferret foods containing large amounts of fish, inside a month the odor will gradually diminish to the point it will be unnoticeable unless you put your nose right into their fur.
