Dear Cheryl, It is possible to make a perfectly serviceable hammock with no sewing at all. Take a piece of polar fleece and cut out a square large enough for the little ones to comfortably lie on. But instead of cutting right at the corners of the square, leave a strip of fabric about one inch wide by one foot long coming out of each corner. These strips can be used to tie the hammock onto the bars of a wire cage. Pile a few cozy blankies on the hammock, and you're all set! Good luck! Julie [Posted in FML issue 3258]
