Ok I've got one that has me stumped. One of my ferrets is obsessed. We adopted a kitty 6 or 8 months ago. She is a silver chinchilla persian. Her name is Persnickity. We had the usual getting acquainted fun but that passed fairly quickly. Minerva would do the ferret speed bump in front of the cat constantly trying to get her to play. But of course the cat didn't get it. Frumpstiggle could really care less it's more fun to play tag with mom & dad that some big fluffball. Then things changed... Minerva developed an obsession with the cat. Every day when we let them out Minerva thinks she needs to be directly underneath the cat. Walking, sitting, running, it doesn't matter she must be underneath the cat at all times. 3 -4 hours each day under the cat. Persnickity is not thrilled, she hasn't hissed or swatted with claws out but we know she's not happy. Minerva is very nice to the cat, she doesn't nip or try to drag her across the floor like she did to Frumpstiggle when she joined our family, but she has to be underneath her. If the Persnickity lays down Minerva is in between her legs licking her chest & tummy. If Persnickity is running down the hall, Minerva is underneath her pacing her all the way. Does any one know why she would be doing this? Should I set up a ferret sized couch and get her some therapy?
