>From: Denise Davis <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: For the Anonymous Poster on Randy Horton's Shelter We have no first hand knowledge of the shelter in question. So we have no comments on the shelter specifically. BUT... >Until you have lived day to day operating a shelter, YOU HAVE NO ROOM >TO TALK! AND I SAY THIS NOT NICELY! This is a very bad idea. If a shelter (not meaning Randy's since we do not know) was in a bad way, someone should speak up and try to help. Whether the "whistle blower" does or does not also run a shelter is irrelevant to whether there is a problem with a shelter. Running a shelter is no excuse for neglect. If someone runs a shelter and is getting in trouble, they should speak up. If they do not that for the sake of the ferrets there someone else should. >And If most of these ferrets are not placed in shelters, they would be put >down.(LIKE DEAD) So which is better??? Shelter or Death? That isn't always so simple. A cruel situation is cruel whether it is in a shelter that is supposed to be as far from cruel as possible. If as is unfortunately too common an occurrence the poor ferrets are in a shelter where they are effectively tortured, how long should they be in pain? We are not saying that Randy's shelter is torturing ferrets. Anonymous messages are needed but they should be used very carefully. If one is posting anonymously they should take an extra care to be absolutely accurate. But again we can not speak from first hand knowledge in this case. >From: XXX XXXXXXXX <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: FerretTV.com, Renny, Slinky, Thanks > >[Moderator's note: You are correct, we all did agree to a moratorium on >posts mentioning you or the Killians.
