I have been helping people over the weeks find good homes for their ferrets. I have refused to take their ferrets in because I am so overcrowded that I just don't have anymore room or any available cages. They have been writing and calling me left and right so instead of telling them no and just leaving them hanging I have been helping them by posting their letters on the FML and other various places hoping to direct them to someone who will take in their ferrets for them. This has been my method for the last several months. It has been at least 5 months since anyone has even contacted me about wanting to adopt a ferret. I am at my wits end. Everyone just wants to get rid of their ferrets, but nobody wants to adopt any. This is why I am posting today. I am at a point in my life where I am going to have to take a job just to help keep food on the table and I just can't take a job with all of these ferrets. It already takes me 12-14 hours a day to let out all of my groups and give them the time that they deserve. This is something I will no longer be able to do once I get a job. I am hoping that some of the people here on the FML have been thinking of adding a ferret or two to their ferret families. This is something I can help them with. I have a four pack, a pair, and a single that have been here forever and could really use a good home. These ferrets will go to a PROPER ferret home at no charge. I am located in Springfield, Ohio. I am just trying to get my numbers down enough so that I can comfortably work a 45 hour a week job and still give what ferrets remain here the time, care, and love that they deserve. I will still be accepting phone calls and email from people who wish to get rid of their ferrets and I will still take the time to help them to find a suitable home. It just won't be my home. I just can't keep up this work with a full time job. If you are in the position to help well then your help is needed. I hate to do this because I have really enjoyed the two years I have spent helping ferrets find loving homes, but if I can place these 7 ferrets into new homes then that will take off like 6 hours of the time I have to spend daily letting out ferrets to play. Then I can probably handle the rest of the ferrets and a job at the same time. I hope someone can help. Please if your interested just write me a quick note and I will write you back and tell you about the ferrets that you are interested in. Sorry I had to post this. Thanks to all.
