It was with a sad heart that I had to have our beloved Podo, a 5+ yo
chocolate MF put down early today. He and his cagemate Jack have been a
real joy to have for the past several years, after we rescued them. While
they never intergrated with the others in our "business", they became the
NITE crew in the ferret room, roaming it from mid-nite til 7am., as they
were the quiet ones. MR. Podo was always the BIG guy at 3.5 lbs. and
when let out each nite they checked the whole room to find anyone that may
have not been put to bed. He fought the adrenal cancer and other cancers
for a long time and was finally in a lot of pain so we helped him go to
the Rainbow bridge and wait with, Caroline, Scarlett, and MR. EDward.

Podo will be buried tomorrow with the others in a plain pine ferret coffin.

R.I.P. Podo

Now I must go and change my internet signature to reflect our loss.
