First of all, Congrats to Sandy Repper for winning the Hammys from Especially Ferrets Inc. They are really cool looking and I promise to send them tommorrow. Sorry I'm Late. Secondly, there has been so much controversy on ferret shows that the Ferretguy, who has little experience with sanctioned ferret shows is asking...Aren't these shows supposed to be fun for everybody involved? This weekend, on Sunday, our Halloween show will be held. Last year, we were short on judges and had a lot of entries. This year,we will have six judges( nobody cares if they are REAL judges) and six categories, with a two judge team handling two categories each. We really don't care if you enter 500 ferrets as that will mean you need to come up with 500 different costumes and that's just 500 more laughs and giggles for everyone. Unfortunately, there will only be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbon for each category, but as far as we are concerned, everyone is a winner cause we are all going to have fun! We know all you folks out there put a lot of hard work into your ferrets you show, but the folks who enter the Halloween costume party spend all year thinking up some of the whackiest get-ups you've ever laid eyes on! I really hope I see a two headed ferret this year, and none of us really care if a ferret is "defective" or not. This isn't about life and death, it's supposed to be fun! Normally, I'm usually the serious one with my postings on the fml, but we are starting to come into the holiday season, so I don't think it's being out of line to ask everyone to lighten up a little and get into the same mood your fuzzies are in all the time. Be Happy!!! One last note, thank you to all of you who have sent me support letters lately. Your letters have lifted my spirits, along with the 140 something fuzzies here and we all appreciate it more than you know. Hugs to all, Ferretguy [Posted in FML issue 3218]
