Hi-- Ferrets tend to travel well, and like dogs should go to sleep rather quickly after you hit the open road. A few simple precautions keep life simpler. A good carrier. Add a water bottle and two food dishes (one to catch the dripping from the water bottle). A small litter box bolted to the back of the crate is good, but paper towels or puppy piddle pads work well enough. Hang a small hammock in using shower curtain hooks to give the fuzzy a comfortable ride. A cheweasel is helpful with small kits who like to chew, and for older animals a stuffed toy for company or a jingle ball to toss around for a bit. Do expect your ferret to rattle the bars, chew at them, dig up its food and be loudly obnoxious. KG [Posted in FML issue 3205]
