You really need to get this guy into the vet ASAP.  It's amazing what a
little predia-pred might do for him.  And the stuff is cheap, so cost
should not be a factor.  You can get enough pedia-pred to last a month or
two for less than $20.  There is no reason why a ferret knowledgeable vet
should cost you a lot of money to get him started on this treatment.
 
Until you can get to the vet, regular, high protein meals will help to keep
his blood glucose stable.  Chicken baby food is excellent for this and Bob
C's chicken gravy is probably even better.  This link...
