Your rabies tag is NOT sufficient. I would add to that however that US Customs may require more-- it's been a few years since I last crossed the border with ferrets, but I recall that you do indeed need the health certificate, even when driving, to bring the ferrets into the US. The certificate must have been issued in the previous 30 days. Having the health certificates can also help "prove" that the ferrets you are transporting are indeed yours and were not purchased in Canada, should you encounter extra suspicious types at the border (last I knew, you had to pay duty if you bring more than $800 worth of stuff into the US, which is only a few brand new pet store ferrets). Best bet is to call the USDA and ask them for the current requirements(though I'd be willing to bet you get transferred all over the place while somebody tries to figure out the rules on ferrets! :) Regina Regina Harrison [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/1083 http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Labyrinth/8096 ...melancholia, mon cher...
