First off, I would like to thank Randy for the opportunity to share with the group ideas on responsible breeding and how the Pacific Ferret Shelter Network is so successful. The other speakers were worth their weight in gold. I, too, picked up some wonderful information to take back home and share with our vets. With all the delays in getting to Canada, I wasn't able to join in on the party animal's fun, but got to hear about most of it. The daily events were wonderful and it was truly great to meet so many wonderful ferret lovers. The saddness that swept the audience when it was announced that Tuggger crossed over the rainbow bridge was touching. I don't really think that people truly understand how this actually affects a shelter mom. Randy, Paige and I had a good silent cry together! Sam Young is a very remarkable young person. After figuring out what she is trying to say (language twang!) was a lot of fun! Again, thanks so much, Randy, for the great time. Oh yes, the ferrets living with Paige and Randy are very lucky. Nice accommodations and lots of love. Chris Mathis PFSN/Oregon Ferret Shelter www.oregonferretshelter.com [Posted in FML issue 3182]
