Hi All, Well after dealing with some heavy duty thunderstorms and flooding yesterday, I wished I could make it head west. I am just sick and tired of Miss Catherine complaining about the smoky haze around the mountains a few miles from her house. ;-) Actually I am worried. There are sixty something fires out there in Utah and I don't want her to get roasted before she has a chance to move back to Missouri and help me create havoc here. As sisters are supposed to do. Both of us being only children we haven't lived close enough yet since adopting each other to truly enjoy not being onlies anymore. The ferrets are slowly driving me crazy. Well it is the excuse of the week ok? I am still stuck in bed with my back. But there is something comforting about sleeping with 4 ferrets. Miss MaryJane loves to curl up in the small of my back with her little pinkie paws up against it. Of course, Miss Pookie adds to the atmosphere by walking across my head in search of drinks on the nightstand. But she did do something cute tonight. I was sitting on my favorite big stuffed red chair and she curled up on my arm and just laid her little head down and went to sleep. In just about the same amount of time it took to explain it. aaahhhhh. I love her just a little bit. Mr. Georgie Porgy is turning into such a lap baby. He is my 4.5 pound luggo ferret. He wants me to carry him around all the time now. He will lay up on the bed with me, which is new. He also lays on the floor next to the tub when I take a bath (I tend to soak for awhile). He will roll over on his back, flop all four legs out, and curl his head to the side to stare at me. Big giant silver mitt floor mop. Connor, my other fercat, is doing ok. He was so attached to Kane and is so insecure I was really worried about him. But he has been playing with the ferrets more and with one of the older cats, Mercat. So I think he will be ok. But Kane's titer came back and he had a full blown case of fip. sigh. So I am hoping that no one else gets sick. Miss Stella is a bit puny right now. She has had her own cage and lots of momma's duck soup. MissMaryJane and Miss Pookie have been teaching the proper side of the bed to poop on when she sleeps with momma so they don't have to wake up to cussing in the middle of the night. Everyone else is doing ok. As you can see, life if so exciting right now. My big excursion was to the grocery store for half an hour today. ;-) Maggie and her Mid Mo Ark [Posted in FML issue 3138]
