You can add my Fannie to the growing list of deaf ferrets. She's from PATH VALLEY FARMS. At almost 4 years old, she doesn't startle any more but still bites strangers. When Fannie was younger one of these strangers got medical treatment for the bite. This was before the rabies compendium and could have been reported to county officials. The risk was largely Fannie's. I love Fannie and she's having a good life, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't object to selfish and careless breeding. Not being able to hear is a loss.
