There is one thing that is misunderstood about many ferret shelters - people think that the money will come in to cover expenses and the volunteers will come in droves to help with the work. This is far from the truth. Please don't think that a shelter doesn't need help because there is never enough money or physical help to go around. Don't think someone else will do it because that other person may think the same thing. If you aren't sure if a shelter needs help, just ask.
