I've not had a sick enough ferret for someone to say that to me, but I've had my Pom since I was little and she is 19 years old. It used to be that whenever she got sick, someone would inevitably asks me that. I once had an older relative ask me that. I in turn asked it that is how they would like me to treat them when illness creeps up on them in their ailing and aging years. Needless to say, word got around and I have not had anyone question my devotion or care taking of any of my "pets". (I prefer fuzzy family members). Some think I'm nuts and are never going to understand that the dog, cat, and fuzzies are my kids. That's o.k. I just promised that I would not suggest to euthanize when they are sick if they don't suggest it to me. Of course, I understand there are extenuating circumstances to everything and sometimes we need to help our babes along, but that's not the point here. ------------- On a lighter note...I want to have a yard sale. I want to have a yard sale and give the money to a shelter. Now, I know that putting in the paper that the money will go to a shelter will help bring people out. My questions are this...are there any legal problems with this? ...do I need to get with a shelter ahead of time and be able to use their name? ...of course I can't PROVE my intentions other than that's what I say I'm gonna do. Will I need some sort of paperwork to backup my intentions of donating all monies? Anyone who has done this can let me know what they know. I am in Florida and I know that state by state, it may be different. I probably won't get around to the yard sale before August (I live in a Snowbird town and there's no one here right now!) but I want to be prepared. Thanks and kiss those babies. They are with us for far too short a time! April "LOVES" Ferrets L una O rion V enus E ros S ola [Posted in FML issue 3073]
