The Scamp's pet store in Lloyd Center in Portland, OR, has 3 baby ferrets
in a ten gallon aquarium. I have absolutely no idea how young they are,
except one that was awake, it was following my finger and was shaky on its
legs when it tried to stand up. Reminded me of the shaky stage of
kittenhood. They are "whole" ferrets, Scamp's is selling them for $59.00
each. They have 4 other ferrets in a cage in the front of the store,
ferrets that are older. One employee trying to sell them commented, "these
guys are nice and friendly. Unlike those other ones over there, they bite"
(referring to the babies in the ten gallon). Another employee, when I
asked him how old the babies were, looked at them and said "oh, six weeks.
No, eight weeks old."

Ugh, moments like these are the reason I absolutely cannot go to Scamp's
anymore. They're horrible.
