Theo pulled the dead ferret on me today! He was sleeping with his head
hanging over the side of the hammock. I reached my fingers into the cage
and tickled him. He didn't stir. With one finger I pushed his head back
and forth and it swung limply back and forth. I plugged his nose and STILL
he didn't move! I knew he was alive because I could see his breathing.
I pulled him out of the hammock and he came out like a long furry, limp
noodle. I draped him over the couch and he still didn't awaken. I folded
him into all kind of positions. I held him belly up and his head flopped
around. I even went so far as to take him to my neighbor to show her. I
blew in his face... he stuck his tongue out! After at least 5 minutes of
trying to awaken him, I finally poured cold water on his belly. Well,
THAT woke him up!! He looked around, yawned, gave me a kiss and curled up
in my arms again. LOL

I've had Gracie do the dead ferret sleep but never as long or deeply as
Theo did today! Kinda made me have the grisly thought... "I hope no
ferrets have been buried alive!"
