Scooter joined his many friends at the bridge today. He had adrenal surgery about a year ago and the path came back as a real nasty kind of cancer. One that tthey expected to come back. Well I have been expecting it lately and when he stopped eating a week ago and then refused his most favorite of all time treats, raisins. I knew. He went to the vet today and they did an ultrasound and he was full of cancer. I will not put him through what Lucky went through so even though I could not be there to hold him as he crossed over, Dr. Maddox said that she would hold him and love him for me. She helped him to cross. His lungs were full as were his lymph glands. I know that Jax, Lucky, Maggie, Roxie, and all his other friends were there to greet him. Once his heavenly creator was able to put him down to play, they would all be dancing with him. He lived a full life and he was loved completely. Now I have to go and have a good cry, partly because I will miss him and partly because I am happy the he is now free and happy. Hug your fur children and love them while they are with you. It is not long enough. Diana and The Ferret Farm [Posted in FML issue 3021]
