Weighed Scooby at the vet's yesterday and his weight is now.... 720 grams! He weighed 424 on the day we got him, 616 8 days later, 720 10 days later. Our vet said he was very impressed with Scooby's progress and asked us to stop by the pet store to show the manager what a baby ferret should look like. :-) Sadly, LG, our bi-lateral adrenal girl that wasn't expected to survive after surgery (she not only survived but thrived) early last year, has a tumor around her eye caused by lympho. Larry took a smear of the growth and it was filled with lymphocytes and no neutrophils. If it had been an infection there would have been neutrophils working hard to clean up. sigh. She had other lymph nodes that were enlarged on that side of her body. We opted for medication. LG doesn't know she has cancer, she still eats and acts normally. We'll keep her comfy and love her extra. Warm hugs to all. tle Troy Lynn Eckart Ferret Family Services http://www-personal.ksu.edu/~sprite/ffs.html http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Haven/5481/ Please sign up to support our charity http://www.iGive.com/html/ssi.cfm?cid=46&mid=58395 [Posted in FML issue 3005]
