This weekend I felt lazy. Around our house you sleep when the ferrets do or you don't sleep at all. Nights are usually 4-6 hours long with a few brief intermissions (i.e. breaking up fusses). Sunday I packed the 3 bad boys into the 2 1/2 level cage and layed down for a nap. Five hours later I awoke on my own. I glanced at the clock, glanced again in awe and shook my grogginess away. How could I sleep 5 hours all at once? A miracle indeed. :-) Shortly after I let the bad boys out and true to form they started waking up the household, one at a time it seemed. They ended back in the cage several times during the evening for time outs. Little stinkers. Of course I wasn't able to sleep last night. I finally dozed off at 4:30am and awoke to the 5:15am alarm. This morning everyone was full of it. I had ferrets literally bouncing off the walls. When I took my shower several showed up wanting in too. Well they had to wait till I was done and I did some fancy stepping as I put them in and I got out. I ended up with one attached to my sock and one to my pantleg when I got dressed. Walking down the hallway I ended up with someone attached to my calf and others playing ring around the feetsies. Getting out the door was another story all in itself. Ahhhh the joy of ferrets. Warm hugs to all. tle Troy Lynn Eckart Ferret Family Services http://www-personal.ksu.edu/~sprite/ffs.html http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/Haven/5481/ Please sign up to support our charity http://www.iGive.com/html/ssi.cfm?cid=46&mid=58395 [Posted in FML issue 2975]
