Dear all, I've been meaning to write for some time about Tally's progress. He had his spleen and left adrenal gland removed three weeks ago and is now officially out of the woods (apparently!). Phew. I'm trying to improve his weight gain but all the recipes for Duck Soup seem to include baby food which he absolutely will not touch -- I've tried loads of ways. I'll post his results as soon as I get them as it may help someone else. Thank you all for your love and support at such a scary time. Big huffs (dooks) from Tally too. Re: a couple of other points on the FML, one from F. Scott Giarrocco about his answer to "Can we please have more happy stories/good news!" I think he's made a very good point in explaining (as we know) that it's not all fun (see above) and potential care-givers should know the other side of life with ferts. However, I must congratulate all FMLers on providing a good balance in the main. Re: Bob C: More on Old Age, Thank you AGAIN for such an informative posting and I will also be copying this if that's okay. I was originally informed that ferret's lived 7 -- 10 years minimum so found this interesting. And I loved Melissa Barnes haiku -- cracked me up at work and gets my vote!!! Keep 'em coming! Luv Susan. [Posted in FML issue 2971]
