Hi Billy, I too am from the UK and without trying to sound condescending, have you really thought about the consequences of breeding from four jills? You could quite possibly end up with 40 odd kits. After rescuing two jills last year.... who produced 11 kits between them a week later, i can assure you it`s no picnic :o( It`s incredibly hard work in the first instance and they quite literally cost me a fortune to feed. I didn`t even break even, when it came to re-homing them. I was also extremely lucky to have homes lined up for all of them to go to before they were weaned. One of the jills was quite poorly afterwards, please think long and hard before putting your girls at risk. I honestly don`t want to appear to be telling you what you should or shouldn`t do, but please think about it before you go ahead and breed. I know many shelters that have more ferrets than they know what to do with and it would be such a terrible shame to add more :o( Hoping not to offend ;o) Jane, Harvey, Casper, Phoebe, Dylan, Annie, Clara, Dot, Tyler & Liv *Missing Katy & Emil* ^. .^ * http://www.odell67.freeserve.co.uk [Posted in FML issue 2929]
