I understand, Jacque. I know my meighbors all gather around their windows when the fuzzies and I go for a "walk". It's a fight all the way to the mailbox and then a grand sprint back to the door. Incidentally, when we went to the beach, the kids would walk/ run as long as we were pointed into the wind. They also figured out how to stay just out of wave reach. THAT was pretty entertaining. We did scallops along the water's edge- racing down as the waves went out and sprinting out of range when the waves came crashing back in. Too funny! Any explanations on why they will walk towards, but not away from home? (Other than the obvious fact that raisins live IN the house.) So far as naming goes- My first was named Goose because she honked. Her little baby dooks sounded all the world like a little gosling. Tas was named for her crazy, hyper little personality. (In reading the FML, there seems to be a large number of ferrets names Taz or a variation on that. Go figure.) Miesa was named for the great architect Mies Van der Rohe, because every great architect needs a ferret named after him. Interestingly enough, Miesa can defeat any and all architectural structures. Must have been prophetic naming. :) Joe's full name is Sloppy Joe. He was a very enthusiastic eater while on soft food and usually managed to get it up to his ears and all over his cage. Still does feel obligated to empty the food bowl and eat it off the cage floor. Such a boy. Wessi and the Wonder Weasels [Posted in FML issue 2944]
