Chris, I am real sorry to hear about Toby.  I lost Rambo 2 years ago
when he lifted a floor vent, used the heat ducts as a tunnel and
slipped down into the electric heater and was killed.  I know how
you feel at the loss.  All my ducts are now screwed to the floor so
that neither Tut nor Cleo are similarly jeopardized.  Also, much
thanks on the information about ferret FeLV.  While there is no
known vaccine for it or for rabies, groups such as ours might con-
sider petitioning companies involved in pet health to spend the $
in research to provide our ferrets with the same protection that
cat, dog, bird, etc owners have.  I truly believe that the solution
could be found given a little investment.
