Someone I know in California is moving to Texas and asks the following.

I have a ferret named Bob. Bob and I live in a nice house at the beach in CA.
Sssssh. Nobody knows Bob is a ferret, or that ferrets are illegal here. I am
moving to Texas where ferrets are allowed to run free, tip over beer bottles,
steal socks, etc.

I was wondering if anyone has had experience crossing the CA -> AZ -> NM -> TX
state borders while smuggling carpet sharks to freedom and if any problems
occurred.

I will try to get on the ferret mailing list again, once I have reached a free
ferret zone.

Thanks, Jim.

[Please post your answer to the list, and cc a copy to me so I
can telephone Jim with suggestions you may have asap. Thanks.]
