Hi everybody,
Two weeks ago I was thinking about adding number 5 to the group, Now I may
lose my only sweet boy.  Roulette started having lose bowls that became
diareha.  Then back to small sticky stools.  Last night the Vet said he had
gastroenteritis (sp?).  He's on medication.  With him being four years old
and going down hill so quickly the vet said he only had a thirty percent
chance of living.  I treated him from info.  from the list but, was not
aggressive enough.  Today he was eagerly eating baby food chicken.  The Vet
said chicken and rice and lamb and rice baby food but the store only had
the meat.  I bought baby rice cereal and mixed it with the meat for two of
the feeding tonight.  He is drinking his Gatoraide.  Please say a prayer
for him.  I feel like such a horrible mommy that I don't think a can bring
myself into adopting another ferret.  I just adopted him 2 months ago.  He
also had his first
 
Rabies and Distemper Shots, in who knows how long, 2 months ago.  How will
I know if his kidneys or liver are failing him?  The Vet said he would just
 
waste away. Is todays behavior a good sign that he will get better?
