I had seen many posts about Harley on the FML but didn't read any. Then
some time later, about 3 months ago, someone sent me a link to a shelter
page in Florida that had a slide show on shelters and ferrets. In that
show was Harley! Also was a dialogue on the site of the pictures where
they discussed what had happened to Harley. The slide show brings tears
to my eyes and to hear of Harley my thoughts go to prayer for that little
guy between the stifled tears it brings.

Ferrets can't smile but if they could I bet they would be grinning all
the time. Is so very sad to hear of such horrible stories on cruelty to
any animal. Here in Richmond we have had some insane behavior towards
animals and some towards ferrets. Is such an absolute shame such people
seem to get away with this where animals can't speak and they take such
low priority in the face of all the other crimes out there.

We can only be sure we care for what we have and insure any we pass on go
to only good homes. Shelters do their best on that but doo-doo happens
inspite of the finest of care taken on the adoption.

One of my own is not doing well, Kodo, and I do not expect him to survive
this. Such a good boy he is, will make his days warm and full of love as
best possible. He will wait for me across the bridge with the others.
