I became a ferret owner over the summer but it feels like I've been doing it
for year!  I read the FML religiously, look forward to it even, and read the
newgroups and subscribe to Modern Ferret...the works!  I don't know about
any of you, but I think my 2 babies are the cutest anywhere and I want to
show them off!  The problem?  Every posting I ever see for a show on the FML
or in the magazines is in some state a million miles from us :( Well not
actually a million, but it might as well be.  Most seem to be in the
Northeast and a few in the South.  I personally live in Idaho and don't mind
driving a *few* states for a ferret show, but not 10.  I think us Northwest
ferret owners (Washington, Oregon, Nevada maybe, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho)
should get together and have a ferret show!  I know there are lots of
breeders and shelters in the area and tons of ferret owners that would like
to see what all the hubbub is about with all these ferret get togethers.  If
anyone is thinking about holding one or is planning on it, please email me
and let me know.  I am willing to help organize it, though I don't have much
in the way of funds to invest.  Keep dooking all!
