Fidget has impeccable timing. Knowing of course that we are leaving today
(Friday) to visit parents, he goes and gets a goopy eye. So I find a vet
from the STAR database (having some doubts about my normal vet's vet tech,
but that's another story) and make an appointment. Turns out the vet we
saw had been in MA right before ferrets were legalized and was telling me
that once the law was passed, people were bringing their ferrets in by the
droves. Anway, Fidget had to get an eye stain to make sure his eye wasn't
scratched. Well he wasn't so thrilled about that, fortunatley his eye
wasn't scratched. So the vet sent us home with Amoxacillan (sp?) and eye
ointment. All I could think about was the posts I'd seen on the FML about
projectile spitting. So when the time came to give him his meds, I got a
towel and enlisted the SO. Imagine my surprise when Fidget drank the Amox
right down and even tolerated it when I put the goo on his eye. Whew, what
a relief! And he loooks much better this morning.

cheers
