My name is Cyn and I'm the proud mother of 3 ferrets - Pruin, Poppitt,
Bryson and Bobo. Pruin is going to be five in December, Poppitt was a
year in August, Bryson is somewhere around 2 or 3, and Bobo is just 4
months.

I have been reading FML for a while now and have enjoyed the information and
chat between ferrets and their owners. Additionally, I have found some good
resouces through some member postings. Thanks!

Now for the scary part. My little boy Bryson has been very sick. Bry's
stool was full of mucus, he stopped eating, and lost all of his energy.
After x-rays, blood work and stool samples, the vet decided it was bacteria
in his intestine and put him on Pepto Bismol, Flagyl, and Amoxicillin for
about three weeks. There was a point where I took him to work with me so I
could force feed him and give him his medication during the day.

Bryson has gone back to eating on his own -about two weeks now- but has
gained little weight back even with my giving him Nutrical 2 times a day.
His stool is better but still has some mucus. Now the kicker: When I
cleaned their cage last night, I noticed stool that was very dark, had mucus
and was dark green. Could I be dealing with the infamous green slime?

I would appreciate any and all input/suggestions. I am just about at my
wits-end with this poor boy.

You can either e-mail me direct at [log in to unmask], or through FML.
Thank you.
