Dear Ferret Folks-

Thank you for the many messages of condolence that my husband and I
received upon the sudden loss of Hebert. I took an internet vacation
last week. My inbox read "Hebert, Hebert, Hebert, etc." and I decided
to just pull the plug for a little while! I trust you understand. But
thank you so much for your kindness! It was such a *shock* to lose a
young ferret like that. But I am grateful for the time we had together.
We gave him the best life that we could, and that makes me feel better.
He liked his kibble, his hammies, his big new cage. He liked playing
with Todd, and playing Flip the Blankie. He liked stashing our
sneakers, and the rubber-backed bath mat. He lived a full life in a
short time. He vanquished many a Croc shoe.

Todd is doing well, not searching for Hebert, although I sense that he
has become tremendously bored over the weekend. The poor little guy. I
play with him, but I know it is not the same.

Again, thank you for you e-mails and e-cards.

Alexandra in MA
