In reference to abandon ferret in mall  oH...... what a sad story.
 
I have an idea.Have a friend call the mall and say that the baby escaped and
ask if the mall security has found it.  Then call the pet store and report
it lost.  If they are a little bit honest maybe they will give it to your
friend and you can save it.
 
all is fair in love and ferret care.
