To Texan pricing ferrets-
 
We paid $120 in Vermont for our firt ferret from a petstore.  Our next two
have come from the Greater Chicago Ferret Association for considerably less.
 Shelters are a great way to help poor ferrets who have been abandoned for
one reason or another.  Why not try to find one in your area?  Shelter
ferrets are just as much fun and just as healthy (or better) than one you'd
buy elsewhere.
